Gaining Momentum

By Dave Herman, Rockland Chapter President

Here in the Rockland Chapter, we are in the midst of our summer CPE program, and although attendance has been weak, we intend to continue. We had a lot of momentum heading into last summer from the previous two years, but kind of got off track and had no seminars in the summer of 2004. This is probably partially responsible for the low attendance. We do, however, remain committed to our chapter and will continue with events throughout the rest of the year. The programs are excellent, and the two on July 13 and July 27 were very informative.

Coming up in mid-September, we have an outing arranged to the Yankees game. We are working on something for October. Also, we have our annual Town Hall Meeting and ethics scheduled for Nov. 9 and our annual young CPA event for early December. We are planning additional events as I write this; check our Web site for upcoming additions.

We continue to look for volunteers as always. Please contact Michael Seidenberg, David Freighling, Mitchell Gusler or myself to volunteer to help.
