The AICPA’s Top 10 Technologies: What Are They and Why Are They Important? Cutting-edge technology is important to your clients and to your practice, which is why the American Institute of CPAs annually compiles its Top 10 Technologies list. On Sept. 14, the NYSSCPA’s Technology Assurance Committee will host a continuing professional education (CPE) morning presentation that will cover the top 10 list. The general objective of the session is twofold: introduce new technologies for 2004 and discuss the possible effects on the businesses that use them. Although technical in nature, discussion will include auditing and consulting issues that derive from these latest technologies. A regularly scheduled meeting of the Technology Assurance Committee will follow the CPE session. Date:
