Michele has kicked off the chapter year by teaming up with local media to hold a book drive in August. Books will be donated to participating area drycleaners who will give them to the Read Ahead program, a literacy initiative.
She also plans to continue fostering the great relationship her chapter enjoys with The Post-Standard. The chapter works with the Syracuse newspaper throughout the year, answering reporters’ questions on a variety of business topics. During tax season their bond becomes even closer. At that time, chapter members volunteer their time, sitting on an expert panel at the newspaper’s offices and providing tax advice to the public.
