The More You Give, the More You Recieve

The past year has been a personally and professionally rewarding one for me as president of the Rockland Chapter. I was especially gratified to receive e-mails from other CPAs who actually read my articles in The Trusted Professional and had nice words to say about them! Some of these people were old acquaintances who found me through our mutual affiliation with the Society – and it was nice to catch up with one another.
It is equally gratifying to have worked so well together with the other members of the board of the Rockland Chapter, Treasurer Shari Berk, President-Elect Mitchell Gusler, Past President Dave Herman, Secretary Elliott Roth and Past President Michael Seidenberg, to plan our many seminars and social gatherings. I am particularly proud of our chapter’s relationship with Joe Lewandoski and Danny del Valle from the IRS Liaison’s office. With the assistance of these two gentlemen, we succeeded in presenting several invaluable seminars to our membership. The camaraderie between our two organizations continues to grow and will surely flourish through many more administrations to follow. I am truly appreciative of all the efforts put forth by our executive board and look forward to working with the next executive board to continue to present to our membership new and innovative seminars.
We could not have had such a successful year without the many sponsors that supported our professional presentations and events. On behalf of the entire chapter, I extend our most sincere appreciation to our sponsors and hope for our mutual continued success in the future.
I am sure everyone who attended our annual golf outing had a great day of relaxation, fun, food and drink!
The old axiom has proven true once again: The more you give, the more you receive. I have received a tremendous amount from my association with the Rockland Chapter and hope to be able to continue to give to the chapter for years to come. I encourage all who are interested to become involved with our board so that you too may receive in return.
