The Real Work Begins

By David Friehling, Rockland Chapter President

It may be post tax season, but now is not the time to relax. The seemingly endless extensions and regular-as-the-change-of-seasons quarterly payroll taxes are still on the horizon, as well as the monthly tasks that make us a necessary evil throughout the year. With a mind toward the state of the economy, we should be thankful that we have these assignments ahead of us.

But now the real work begins. We are actively developing a full schedule of CPE for the summer and fall so that we can stay on top of the latest professional developments throughout the year and continue to make our expertise indispensable to our clients. An all-day seminar is in the works for this summer. If any of our members has a suggestion for future seminars or events, please contact any of our chapter officers.

Our golf committee is putting the finishing touches on our annual golf outing. Please mark your calendars for May 5 for a relaxing day of golf, including a delicious lunch and dinner at the New York Country Club. You can register for the outing by checking the NYSSCPA’s Website, or from the flyers that will be sent to our members in the mail. Hope to see you there.
