Help Us Serve the Members

Accurate
data is essential for any successful business, and this is no different
for the New York State Society of CPAs. To ensure the member data we
have on file is accurate and useful, we mail all members an update form
every other year. This form has been mailed, and we hope that all members
will take a moment to review the information and return it to us as
soon as possible. You also can go online and update the form, making
you eligible to win a great prize!
This year the member data sheet has been revised in an attempt to better understand how we can best assist our members.

Areas of Expertise: This is an entirely new section of the update form. It’s on the reverse side of the form. While you are free to choose any field of accounting interest, we ask that you choose only those areas of expertise in which you have a definite proficiency. As our database becomes more robust and informative, the Society may be able to offer a web-based “Find a CPA” service that the general public could access. Such a service could help you market your services!

Racial/Ethnic Identification: To better determine the diversification of the CPA profession, we are now seeking your cooperation completing this question. It is an optional question. This is the same data collected from any company that does business with the federal government.
We encourage members to go online to update their information, especially the new areas-of-expertise section. If you update your information online, you have a chance to win a great prize. It’s easy to update online. Just go to the Society’s homepage, www.nysscpa.org, and click on the “Change Your Info” link, which is found under the “Member Resources” banner.
In February, the winning entry was from Jennifer Weiss, CPA. Ms. Weiss works at Lazard Asset Management in Manhattan. She won free registration to a FAE seminar or conference of her choice.
