Western Regional Members in Industry and Commerce Conference To Be Held May 4 in Rochester The Sixth Annual Western Regional Members in Industry and Commerce Conference will take place on May 4 at the Rochester Airport Holiday Inn in Rochester. Conference topics and speakers scheduled include: “Accounting and Accountability in U.S. Organizations,” by Robert Colson, editor-in-chief of The CPA Journal; “Alternative Approaches to Managing the Cost of Risk in Today’s Turbulent Insurance Market,” by Anthony K. Greene, of Herbert L. Jamison and Co., LLC; “Anatomy of a Deal: Business Valuation,” by Terry Griswold, of Empire Valuation Consultants, Inc., and Gary Hull, of SummerStreet Capital; and “Fraud and Business,” by Mike DeStefano, of the U.S. Secret Service. The Foundation for Accounting Education offers several industry-specific conferences throughout the year, such as the Entertainment and Sports, the Not-for-Profit and the Broker-Dealer conferences. Most of these conferences are held in New York City. The Western Regional Industry and Commerce Conference is the only industry conference held upstate, with the focus on offering subject matter that is relevant to most financial executives in industry, regardless of their area of employment.
