Society Mourns Loss of Profession’s Leaders

A. Rick D’Arcangelo, a former Society president, passed away on Feb. 14 in New York at the age of 85.

Michael Howard Urbach, 60, the first CPA to serve as New York State Commissioner of Taxation and Finance, died on Feb. 17 in Palm Beach, Fla., following a traffic collision in January.

Both men were respected members of the NYSSCPA, with an extensive history of participation within the Society and in the profession at large.
