Message From the President

Greetings, and happy holidays!
Since the last edition of The Trusted Professional, the chapter has conducted several events for members:
-
A seminar on income taxes with the Brooklyn Chapter, sponsored by the Hudson Valley Bank
-
A career seminar day for about 180 high school students at St. John’s University, with the Queens Chapter
-
A seminar on Check 21, sponsored by the Bank of New York
-
A seminar on ethics at the Consolidated Edison auditorium, sponsored by JP Morgan Chase (the annual officers visitation meeting was conducted the same evening)
-
A special event on “Narrowing the Expectation Gap,” at the Yale Club, hosted by the Cooperation with Bankers and Other Credit Grantors Committee
-
A wine-tasting event with several other professional organizations
I hope you were able to participate in some of these programs. During December and January, we look forward to the meeting for managing partners on Dec. 9; networking and visiting Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum on Dec. 10; attending a seminar on electronic filing conducted by the IRS on Jan. 5; and a seminar on credit card debt on Jan. 26, cosponsored with the Public Relations Committee.

And as we run around like nuts doing our shopping and visiting friends and family, take a moment to focus on the blessings each one of us has, and keep in mind those less fortunate who need our help.
