Message From the President By Phyllis Graybow, Rockland Chapter President Rockland has surely been “rockin’” with events during November. On the sixth of the month, over 80 members welcomed Jeff Hoops, John Kearney and Lou Grumet at our annual Officers Visitation and Ethics CPE seminar. Jeff gave us an in-depth update on legislation affecting our profession and fielded many pertinent questions. Afterward, the free ethics CPE seminar took place. All of that, coupled with a nice dinner, made for a very enjoyable time. On Nov.19, we hosted our annual 1040 Tax Update with Prof. Sam Dyckman. As usual, the lecturer gave an exceptional presentation, reviewing all of the upcoming tax changes for 2004. Everyone had an opportunity to mingle during lunch and received 8 CPE credits. We wish to thank the Bank of New York for sponsoring this event and McBee Payroll Services for supplying Master Tax Guides to all registrants.
