Clambake and CPE a Success in Syracuse By Michael Mamolito, CPA, Syracuse Chapter President The Syracuse Chapter's Summer Sizzler, which combines a CPE session with a social event, was a success for the second year in a row. The August event attracted approximately 90 people to the three-hour estate planning session, presented by Elizabeth Hartnett (Syracuse) from Hunter & Hartnett, and about 200 to the clambake that followed the technical program. In addition to assorted food and beverages, the clambake, sponsored by Fleet Bank, featured golf-themed games, including a putting tournament, a longest drive contest using a marshmallow, and a chipping competition using Velcro golf balls. Other games and activities included a gas grill raffle, won by Charles Baracco (Syracuse). * |
