Always Looking Forward

By David Wojnas, Utica Chapter President

On Tuesday, Sept. 13, we held an employee benefits update at the Radisson Hotel in Utica, N.Y. There were 22 people in attendance. I would like to thank the speakers, Kathy Richardson and Tim Street, from Gilroy, Kernan & Gilroy Insurance, and Wayne DeBello and Joseph F. Martin, from the Principal Financial Group. They did an excellent job presenting their selected topics.

I would also like to announce that HSBC Bank, USA, has agreed to underwrite a portion of our costs for the remaining five seminars that we have scheduled for the year. This sponsorship will allow us to offer continuing education at an even better rate than what was initially planned. Many thanks again to HSBC Bank, USA, for agreeing to do this.

Finally, please keep on the lookout for information regarding our Toys for Tots campaign, which we conduct every November. The response has always been great, and we expect a similar one this year.

We are still working on scheduling two more CPE events to be conducted in January 2006. One is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 10, 2006, and the other will take place approximately two weeks later. We are still finalizing speakers and topics and will hopefully send out an e-mail when the information is finalized.

I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
