Have You Contributed to CPAPAC Yet?
By Frank Pagani
A total of 2,372 NYSSCPA members have contributed approximately $62,000 to CPAPAC, the Society's political action committee, since its formation in April. All contributions strengthen the Society's voice in the New York State Legislature on issues that impact the future of the profession. In addition, contributions will help the Society secure passage of a bill modernizing the state's 52-year-old accountancy law. To contribute, make checks payable to the New York State Society CPAPAC and mail to 530 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10036-5101. Please note that employees of public and private corporations, public institutions, companies, professional corporations, and government institutions cannot be reimbursed by their employers. Members must be U.S. citizens to contribute. For more information, please contact Edwin Naval at (212) 719-8327, (800) 633-6320, or enaval@nysscpa.org. |
