Message From the President

By Joe Falbo, Buffalo Chapter President

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. I feel a little funny saying that because, if you are like many of the CPAs in our chapter, you are likely reading this article in April or May, when busy season will be done. For the few of you that are actually reading this during January, thanks for taking a few minutes to find out what is happening in Buffalo.

As usual, the Annual Tax Institute, in its 51st year, was a success, with over 300 attendees. A well-deserved round of applause to Mark Janulewicz and his committee for all the hard work they put into organizing this event. If you have a suggestion for session topics, speakers, or anything to improve next year’s institute, please feel free to e-mail me and I will be sure to pass them on to the committee.

The One-on-One Committee is in full force, visiting high schools around the chapter. If you are interested in visiting a school or learning more about this program, please contact Kathy Ho at kho@niagara.edu.

May you all have a relatively quick and painless busy season.

Joe Falbo can be reached at 716-285-5276, 716-852-5400 or jfalbo@sfmcpa.com.
