I hope that your summer was as relaxing and enjoyable as mine was for me. Our chapter committees have been busy planning the upcoming events for the fall and winter, which, we are sure, will be of great interest to all.

On Sept. 28, we planned a seminar on Compilation and Review, featuring Paul Sanchez. Those of you who had the opportunity to attend know he gave a wonderful presentation and made it a truly informative event.

This month we look forward to our Education Night on Oct. 5, Estate Planning Seminar on Oct. 6 and a golf outing with bankers and attorneys at Silver Lake Golf Course on Oct. 15.

Now that the school year has commenced, we plan to reach out to our local high school students and educate the young people about our profession. Anyone interested in participating on this committee should contact immediate past President Charles Weintraub at 719-727-7303. Your participation will be greatly appreciated.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mark Fappiano for the great job he did as chair of the Aug. 26 event, Utilizing Financial Planning in your Practice. We also thank Nationwide Insurance for sponsoring the event. The attendees were educated with information that will be well utilized in their practices.
