Message From the President By Z. Joseph Tax, Westchester Chapter President Guess
what? I had someone call me after reading my last
president’s letter. It proves that a few
of you are actually reading it. At the annual leadership conference roundtable, I was asked by the other chapter presidents, “What is the secret to your success?” At first, I didn’t know we were that successful. I soon found out that we were. We offer more CPE, at lower prices, than most other chapters. We also have a more active social calendar where we get to see familiar faces, meet each others’ families and make new friends. After thinking about the secret to our success, I realized it wasn’t a secret at all. Our chapter wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for a group of very dedicated individuals. I don’t think these individuals get the credit they deserve. They give many hours to make this chapter the best it can be. They are the committee chairs and board members who organize, plan and carry out these events. They are no different than you, except they decided at some point in their careers that getting involved with chapter activities was a worthwhile cause.
