Message From the President

By Deborah Bailey-Browne, Mid-Hudson Chapter President

As they say, there is nothing like a “Day at the Races.” This past August our chapter had a gorgeous sunny day at the races in Saratoga. Twenty-five Mid-Hudson Chapter members and guests shared the day together. It was a nice opportunity for them to network and enjoy Saratoga in August, which is Saratoga’s biggest month for visitors. There is so much to enjoy, between the races, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, National Hall of Fame and Dance Museum, along with the numerous unique shops and wonderful restaurants. The area has so much to experience that it was actually difficult to enjoy it all in just one day! (But, of course, we did our best to fit it all in.)

Our chapter has begun the year with a lot of networking events that have been fun and innovative. However, we are just getting started. As with most things in life, the fall season is the time where we get re-energized after the hopefully very enjoyable summer time and gear up for the new season. The Mid-Hudson Chapter is planning on working to assist you in getting ready for your professional season. The chapter has planned our Annual Officers Visitation and Ethics CPE, MAP Breakfasts and other high-quality continuing professional education seminars to assist you in these endeavors. I recommend that you continue to check out the calendar and NYSSCPA website to keep up on the newest offerings. We look forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming events.
