September 1999 Summer Sizzler a Success in Syracuse The Syracuse Chapter's third annual Summer Sizzler, which combines a CPE session with a social event, attracted over 100 people on August 18. Sponsored by Fleet Bank, the event featured an hour-long CPE session on retirement planning followed by the popular clambake. "Everyone had a great time and feasted on a never-ending supply of steamers, raw and fried clams, corn, sausages, hamburgers, and beverages," said past chapter president, current FAE Trustee, and founder of the Summer Sizzler Andrew Eassa.
Attendees included Chapter President Joseph Schlegel and other chapter leaders, NYSSCPA President-Elect P. Gerard Sokolski, NYSSCPA board representative Tom Riley, Society Executive Director Louis Grumet, Fleet Bank's Vice President Greg Briggs, and other representatives from the bank. *
