NYSSCPA and FAE News Now in One Publication By Louis Grumet
With this inaugural issue of The Trusted Professional, the NYSSCPA introduces a newspaper that offers members one source for news on professional, legislative, and regulatory issues; Society benefits and services; and course offerings from the FAE, among other information. The monthly newspaper will include expanded coverage of committee, chapter, and other member news. In addition, The Trusted Professional will offer CPAs tips on how to advance their careers, firms, and businesses. Upcoming articles will offer practice management ideas, advice for CPAs in industry, the impact of technology on CPA firms and businesses, and professional trends of interest to all members. Columns such as Core Values, Survival Skills, and Embracing the Vision address pertinent issues confronting the profession as it enters the next century. In a more efficient way to communicate to the membership, this new publication combines the former Member's Quarterly; FAE Update; CPA Candidates Newsletter; Government Relations Alert; and Tax, Accounting, and Regulatory Bulletin. The Society is interested in member feedback, story ideas, and article submissions.
