Nominees are subject to approval by the Society board and serve three-year terms with a two-term limit. The bylaws also require the CPAPAC board's approval of disbursements over $1,000. Once the CPAPAC board is selected, an initial meeting for the purpose of electing officers and developing a political strategy and disbursement policy will take place in August. Since 2000 is a statewide election year, the Society deems it essential to have a fully operational PAC by the end of 1999. * |
