BusinessWeek Signs on as Affinity Partner

Joins BMW, MCI WorldCom

The NYSSCPA recently formed its newest affinity partnership with BusinessWeek magazine, offering it at a discounted rate to its membership.

Society members can receive 51 issues (one year) of BusinessWeek for $37.95--81 percent off the newsstand price of $201.45. The plan also offers special rates for two- and three-year subscriptions:

The two-year subscription is $59.95, compared to the newsstand price of $402.90, and the three-year subscription is $82.95, compared to the newsstand price of $604.35.

BusinessWeek covers the latest developments in banking, money and investment markets, the economy, corporate and personal finances, and economic and political events affecting the accounting profession.

This program follows recent well-received affinity plans such as MCI WorldCom and BMW, Inc.

"We've had some positive responses to our new affinity plans," said Ed Parker, manager, member sales and benefits. "We feel strongly that they're providing a great benefit to our members."

MCI WorldCom provides discounted Internet access at $16.95 per month for Society members as well as a complete line of communications systems and 24-hour customer service, 365 days a year, with discounts on local and long distance service. BMW offers up to $1,500 savings on the purchase or lease of a new or certified preowned BMW automobile.

In addition to its newest programs, the Society plans to announce more affinity partners in the near future.

"We have a lot in store," Parker said. "With the response I've gotten for our latest programs, I know the outlook is bright."
