July 1999 Issue Dues Schedule Approved for Associate Members By Frank Pagani The NYSSCPA board of directors approved a dues schedule for five new membership categories at its June meeting. Effective immediately, the Society is accepting applications for associate membership in these categories that resulted from members' approval to change the bylaws. The Society's Executive Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving new member applicants. The annual dues schedule is as follows: International Associate: $175 for chartered accountants and CPAs licensed outside the United States who are members of recognized institutes of accountancy. CPA Firm Employee: CPA firm owners (including partners, shareholders, and LLC members) $325 With an office or a residence in NY $175 With neither an office nor a residence in NY CPA firm non-owner other than a CPA candidate $245 With an office or residence in NY $175 With neither an office nor a residence in NY $50 CPA Candidate Student: $30 for accounting majors. CPA Candidate: $50 for college graduates preparing to pass the written exam. CPA candidates can remain in this category for up to five years after graduating. Academic Associate: $165 for non-CPA auditing, accounting, and tax professors.
