FAQs, cyberspeak for frequently asked questions, is a feature of The Trusted Professional that answers common questions about www.nysscpa.org. The following are recent inquiries posed to the website editors:

I've been downloading PDF files and then opening them in my browser (Internet Explorer 4.0) window before printing. When I hit the print button on the upper right-hand corner of the screen, it only prints the first page of the form. Why is this happening?

Simply put, you are using the wrong print button. When you open Adobe PDF files in Internet Explorer, the browser's menu stays at the top of the page above the Acrobat toolbar. (This does not happen with Netscape.) Consequently, two print buttons appear when you open a PDF document and, unfortunately, the Adobe Acrobat button is much smaller and less prominently placed. (You may have missed it altogether.) Open the document again, and click on the small printer icon in the upper LEFT-HAND corner of the page, on the Acrobat toolbar. This will solve the problem.

Can I get a quick stock quote anywhere on the Society's website?

As a matter of fact, yes. If you click on the link that says "Click here for the latest financial news headlines" on the home page, you will be taken to a page which includes a link to Zack's Research Reports. Plug your stock's symbol into the window, click the "Get Report" button and you will have your quote. *
