June Issue FAE Adds Computer Training CPE Microsoft Word 97 Beginner and Advanced, Project 98 Offered The Foundation for Accounting Education now offers computer courses developed by Micropower Business Inc. and Core Consulting Service LLC as part of its CPE schedule. These additions are in response to FAE's Technology Curriculum Task Force, and will address CPAs' specific needs. Scott Lobel, an Advisory Council member, is the instructor of these programs. Beginner Microsoft Word 97 for Windows, to take place August 5, will introduce new users to Word features that will enable them to create and edit documents, make daily chores more efficient, and create tables and drawings within a document. Advanced Microsoft Word 97 for Windows will take place August 13. Participants will learn to use the more advanced features of Word including calculations in tables and macros. Microsoft Project 98 for Windows will take place August 30. Participants will learn how to use this program to help complete tasks and manage clients, projects, and time more efficiently. Lobel will present these programs at the Micropower Business Inc./Core Consulting Service LLC office, 243 West 30th Street, 9th floor, New York, NY.
