Provides Latest on New Show

The Society's website, nysscpa.org, is constantly updated to provide up-to-the-minute information about the exhibits, courses, prizes, and special features of the 1999 CPAs' Finance, Business and Technology Show & Conference. The show opens at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City on May 25 and continues through May 27.

Attendees will find the latest information about hotel discounts (with a link to the home page of the Marriott Marquis, the official hotel of the conference), special airfare offers through American Airlines, the availability of shuttle buses to provide free transportation to and from the show, customer service contact links and phone numbers, and a link to the Javits Center's home page. In addition, those who wish to attend can register online to receive their free show admission badge--a convenient way to obtain one in advance of the conference.

Prospective exhibitors will find an online version of the trade show contract/application as well as rules and regulations. There also is a list of exhibitors and their booth numbers (linked to their websites), and a map of the conference center floor, showing where each booth can be found.

"Even a quick glance at the map makes it clear that booth space is filling up rapidly--much of it via online registration," NYSSCPA Convention Manager Lisa D. Bittings said.

According to Bittings, anyone considering attending or exhibiting at the trade show should first go to the Society's website for information.

"The information there is updated the minute it becomes available, which is important since new developments occur and exhibitors are added sometimes several times a day," she said. "Plus, there's no better place to find out about all the great discounts and services available to attendees and exhibitors."
