Minority Recruitment Committee to Hold Career Day

The NYSSCPA Minority Group Recruitment and Equal Opportunity Committee will hold its annual Career Day on Saturday, May 15. It will take place at the Society from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Career Day includes a workshop to assist junior and senior college students pursuing a career in accounting. It offers a vehicle for students to meet individuals and mentors working in various sectors of the accounting profession. Public accounting speakers will represent small, medium, and large firms, and the event also will feature speakers from the sports and entertainment industry. Students will learn how to network, conduct a successful job search, develop interviewing skills, and acquire job hunting techniques.
