March 1999 Issue FAE Offers Four Conferences in May Updates on Estate Administration, Entertainment and Sports, Broker/Dealer, and CFO IssuesThis May, FAE will present committee conferences on estate administration, the entertainment and sports industry, and broker/dealer issues, and a new event for chief financial officers. The Estate Administration Conference on May 12 at the New York Hilton Hotel and Towers in New York City offers professionals an update on recent developments, from postmortem planning to handling estates with international and business holdings. The conference chair is Lawrence M. Lipoff, CPA, CEBS (Westchester), of Rogoff & Co. PC. The NYSSCPA Estate Planning and Income of Estates and Trusts committees are sponsoring the conference. FAE's Entertainment and Sports Conference will take place on May 18 at the New York Hilton Hotel and Towers in New York City. Chaired by Joseph A. Maffia, CPA, of Rosenzweig & Maffia LLP, and sponsored by the Society's Entertainment and Sports Committee, the conference is an update on recent developments and a general overview of issues in the sports and entertainment industries.
After a two-year hiatus, the Broker/Dealer FAE's new Chief Financial Officers Conference: Best Current Practices for Professionalism in Finance and Industry takes place on May 20 at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in New York City. Speakers will cover the concerns of financial officers in the corporate sector, from cash flow management to detecting company fraud. The conference chair is Lloyd D.
