Society Expands Speakers BureauVolunteers Needed to Address College Students By Sanjay ParanandiThe NYSSCPA has expanded both its Excellence in Accounting Scholarship program and its speakers bureau in an effort to provide college students with more resources and information about entering the accounting profession. The program assigns CPAs in local areas to speak to college students about career opportunities in the changing accounting profession and other relevant topics. The NYSSCPA recently notified the accounting chairs of more than 90 New York state colleges requesting their involvement in the program, and the Society encourages members to volunteer as speakers. To participate, or to request a speaker for an accounting class or club, contact NYSSCPA Recruitment Specialist Sanjay Paranandi at (212) 719-8364, (800) 633-6320, or sparanandi@nysscpa.org. * |
