New FAE Director of Education Services Frimette Kass-Shraibman has been appointed director of education services for the Foundation for Accounting Education. She will oversee the development and presentation of all continuing professional education courses including scheduling, planning and directing promotion, quality control, and financial and program administration. Kass-Shraibman comes to the FAE from the AICPA, where she was a manager in the professional development division. She worked with technical committees to identify membership needs for continuing education and to develop new courses. "I am happy Frimette is joining the Foundation," FAE Board of Trustees President Barry B. Seidel (Nassau) said. "Being both a CPA and an educator with a solid background in managing a continuing education program, she is a fine fit for the director of education services position." Kass-Shraibman taught accounting courses at Audrey Cohen College, New York University, and Yeshiva University, as well as other educational institutions. She also has public accounting experience as a manager with Herbert Kamlet, P.C. She is a member of the Society, the AICPA, the American Accounting Association, and the National Society of Accountants, among other professional organizations. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Queens College and a master of arts in business education from New York University, where she is also a Ph.D. candidate. A resident of Brooklyn, N.Y., Kass-Shraibman has served in leadership positions on a number of civic organizations including the Peninsula Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Park Slope Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and Women and Aids Resource Network, and she is a certified New York state emergency medical technician. * |
