YORK, NY, September 30, 2004 – The New York State
Society of Certified Public Accountants and its Foundation for Accounting
Education will hold its Publishing and Printing Conference: “Tomorrow’s
Challenges and Changes in The Printing and Publishing Industry”
on Thursday, October 21, 2004, at The New York Marriott Marquis
Hotel.
Conference highlights
include the CEOs of major magazine and book publishing companies.
Kelly P. Conlin, President, CEO and Director of Primedia, Inc.,
will present the keynote address on the current and future challenges
of the magazine industry, and Jane Friedman, President and CEO,
Harper Collins Publishers, Inc., will be featured during the luncheon
program focusing on current and future challenges for the book and
publishing industry.
Other program
highlights include a “New York State Tax Update” by
Mark S. Klein, Esq., Partner, Hodgson Russo LLP, and “What’s
New in Online Revenue?” with Jason Krebs, Vice President,
Sales and Marketing, New York Times Digital. The conference will
also include technical updates on the latest accounting issues for
each industry.
