NEW
YORK, May 2, 2006 – The New York State Society of
Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) will present Andrew Eassa,
CPA of Firley, Moran, Freer & Eassa with its Arthur J. Dixon
Public Service Award on Thursday, May 18th at the Society’s
109th Annual Election Meeting and Dinner at the Marriott Marquis
in New York City.. The Arthur J. Dixon Public Service Award recognizes
CPAs who have distinguished themselves in community, charitable
or civic activities on an ongoing basis.
“Andy
deserves the award based on his many contributions to the organizations
he has served,” said Lauren Kincaid, CPA who nominated him
for the award. “I have worked with Andy for the past 19 years
and feel that the sacrifices he has made in order to be involved
in many community organizations and participating on the boards
of various charitable organizations far exceeds what most individuals
are willing to make.”

the Society in 1976. Currently, he is a member of the Professional
Liability Insurance Committee and served three years as the Chair
for the Syracuse Public Relations Committee. A former Syracuse Board
of Directors Representative, Eassa also served on the Syracuse Chapter
Executive Committee and the Society’s Foundation for Accounting
Education Scholarship Awards Committee.
