How to Become a Certified Public Accountant in New York State

Student Associate: $5 for accounting majors.

CPA Candidates: $55 for college graduates in the process of passing the Uniform CPA Examination and gaining the requisite experience for licensure.

CPA candidates can remain in this category for up to five full Society fiscal years after graduating (NOTE: The Society has a June 1 to May 31 fiscal year).
Upon receiving their CPA license and notifying the Society, a "CPA candidate associate member" becomes a "CPA member."
