Election for 2005–2006 Nominating Committee

By Raymond M. Nowicki, NYSSCPA Secretary

New York—For the second consecutive year, the NYSSCPA received enough petitions from members seeking to serve on the Nominating Committee that the Society must hold a membership election to determine which of the petitioners will serve on the 2005–2006 committee.

The CPA membership fills nine positions, and the Board of Directors designates two current board members to serve on the committee. See the NYSSCPA Bylaws under Article IX at www.nysscpa.org/society/bylaws.htm for more information.

A ballot was mailed to CPA members in late August and must be returned to the balloting company by Sept. 30. The results of the election will be announced via an e-mail to the entire membership and in the November issue of The Trusted Professional.

This nominating committee will be nominating a president-elect, three vice presidents, a secretary, five at-large directors, and directors from the Buffalo, Finger Lakes, Manhattan/Bronx, Southern Tier, Syracuse and Westchester chapters. Any members interested in serving in any of these positions should contact their chapter president.
