I hope everyone had a great summer golfing, boating, swimming, vacationing or just relaxing! Our chapter has been busy over the summer. In July, our young CPAs sponsored a Hudson Valley Renegade baseball game. I would like to thank the young CPAs for doing such a fine job of coordinating this event, which saw about 100 people in attendance. The chapter also sponsored a day at the races at Saratoga in August.

The chapter has many events planned between now and the end of the year. In September, we have a MAP breakfast and some continuing education seminars planned. Our officers visitation will follow in October. Please check the chapter website for dates of our upcoming events.

We are also putting together a committee for the Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession (COAP) program in conjunction with Dutchess County Community College. I am looking forward to getting this program off the ground. Anyone interested in finding out more should contact me.

Lastly, I would like to congratulate one of our board members, Tracy Gutting, who participated in the Empire State Games in bowling. Tracy won one silver and two bronze medals. Good job, Tracy!
