Adding It Up
Golf Outing a Pleasant Hit

By Stephanie R. Myers

Take CPAs, bankers and attorneys, mix in a pleasant social situation, and—voila!—get an enjoyable day.

Manhattan/Bronx’s Annual Golf and Tennis Classic took place at Elmwood Country Club in White Plains, N.Y., on July 18, and the results were cheerful participants all around.

Anthony Bracco acted as chair of the event, and said that the occasion served to bring bankers, accountants and attorneys together to network in an informal environment.

“The day went very well,” Bracco said. “We were a little concerned about the weather, but the sun came out and it was a very hot day. We had about 100 people show up, and we did manage to get in almost a round of golf. Some people did get a little bit of rain, but that rain was followed up by a cocktail reception and dinner, awards for the winners, and we raffled off some real good prizes and a lot of really good golf equipment.”

Bracco said there were also winners for men’s and women’s low gross and low net score, in addition to awards given out for closest to the pin and longest drive.

Elmwood Country Club, Bracco said, has provided the backdrop for the event for several years.

“It was very good, the club is very nice there,” Bracco said. “They provided breakfast and refreshment at several of the holes, and they set up a cocktail hour as well as a dinner.”
