This month we take a look at the Society website’s Member Center.

Visitors can access the Member Center and its different areas through a variety of entry points. The easiest way to find member links is on the bottom of the home page, under the heading “Member Resources.” Here users can find links to “Find a Member,” “Become a Member,” “Member Benefits,” “Change Your Info,” “Join a Committee” and more. Users can also access the Member Center from the “About Us” section of the website and other individual links, such as “Pay Dues,” are available under “Things to Do” on the home page and other main website pages.

Once in the Member Center, which is located at www.nysscpa.org/membership/membership1.htm, users can find the following links:

  • Member Services: Find member benefits such as insurance programs, automobile rentals, mediation and arbitration services, tax reference guides and software, telephone services, delivery services, professional and consumer magazines, credit cards and more.
  • Member Directory: Find telephone numbers, mailing addresses and e-mail addresses for Society members.
  • Membership Application: Apply to become a member of the Society.
  • Membership Data Center: Change your member profile, update your telephone numbers, mailing address, e-mail address, firm association and more. Also see your CPE status, dues and contributions, committee service and local legislators.
  • Dues Information: Breakdown of dues rates and information.
  • Member Insurance: Details about member insurance options.
  • Staff Directory: Who to contact with questions and how to reach them.

By the Numbers

The Society website in April and May saw more records. In April, the site had a record number of visits for a single month (217,405), the first ever five-million-hit month (5,362,484) and also recorded more than 761,375 page views, the third-highest ever. In May, the site continued to excel, recording 4,955,852 hits, 751,998 views and 176,001 visits.
