Meeting Chapter Goals By Anthony J. Tanzi, Staten Island Chapter President As our tax season comes to an end, it also marks the end of my reign as the president of the Staten Island Chapter. I was very honored in taking on this prestigious position, and it was truly an experience that was rewarding. We have successfully met our goals that we had set out for the year, but the success would not be possible without the hard work of all the committee chairs and executive board who were involved with all the events we offered. I would like to take this time to thank the following individuals for their hard work and effort: Richard Wismer, Mark Weg, Curt J. Philipczak, Mark Fappiano, Barbara Sandak, Charles Weintraub, Cynthia Scarinci, Gerard LoVerde, Rosemarie Barnickel, Walter Daszkowski, Anthony Maltese, Joseph Pane and Michele Tompkins. My involvement with the Staten Island Chapter started in 1995, and since then, our chapter has accomplished many of the goals that we initially set out to do. We will continue to provide our members and future members with quality education and charitable goodwill, and we will strive to encourage young individuals, as they will be our future. I’m sure this trend will continue with the upcoming officers and board members that will represent our chapter for the New Year. At this time, I would like to take this opportunity to pass the reins of chapter president to Richard Wismer, who also has worked hard for our chapter in the past and truly provides the leadership qualities that will make our chapter as successful as it has been in the past. Finally, our success was also dependent on the staff and professionals of the State Society: Louis Grumet, Bill Pape, Lelia Dickenson, and all the rest of the staff who have provided us the support to make our responsibilities run as efficient as possible. Again, I look forward to working with all of our members in the future as I take on my new role as chapter relations director. Thank you for allowing me to serve you. Anthony J.
