From the President This marks the end of my reign as president of the Buffalo Chapter. It has been a delightful year working with the various committees and members of this chapter. My involvement with the Buffalo Chapter and the Society started with the Young CPAs in 1998. As a chapter, we have accomplished some wonderful things since that time; this trend will continue with the officers we have coming up. Joe Falbo, partner at Swiantek Falbo & Muscato, will take over as president on June 1. Joe has done so much for this chapter already with his intense involvement and thankless hours setting up the listserve, which has become our top method of communication with members. Many members have e-mailed me to thank the chapter for keeping them informed in a timely, concise way. We should all thank Joe for this. I know Joe and his Board have wonderful plans ahead, beginning with the Buffalo Chapter’s Second Annual Summer Symposium. Last year’s attendance was encouraging and the feedback was extremely positive. This year’s event will be held on July 28 and 29 and features an exceptional list of speakers and topics. Stay tuned for further information in the upcoming months. Finally, I’d like to thank all who have made this a fulfilling year. From the committee chairs and members to the Executive Board, you all have made this a smooth and prosperous year for the Buffalo Chapter.
