FAE Has Gone Paperless!

In 2011, the Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) began its paperless initiative to help you improve your efficiency and effectiveness as a CPA by taking the steps toward paperless programming.

In 2012, we’re continuing to improve our paperless initiative, based on important feedback from you, our attendees. Those improvements can be seen in the following ways:

Online CPE Catalog

FAE’s Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Catalog is available through an enhanced and redesigned online catalog on nysscpa.org. The online catalog allows you to easily and conveniently search FAE events in a way that fits your needs and schedule—in a listing or calendar format, or by CPE location, speaker, or field of study.

In addition, a printed listing of all FAE events will continue to be available each month in The Trusted Professional newspaper. Check out the online catalog and the great programs FAE has to offer.

Conference and Seminar Materials Now Available Online

FAE registrants will continue to be able to access all FAE-developed conference and seminar materials online. This means you will no longer receive paper materials when you arrive at a FAE conference or a FAE, AICPA, K2, Surgent McCoy, or Nichols Patrick seminar.

After registering for a program, you will be e-mailed a link to access your online events hosting page. If you have attended a FAE event via webinar or webcast, the user account accessing those events is the same platform you will use to access the paperless materials for in-person events.

Within five business days of the program date, you will receive a link to your online events hosting account page. From there, you may download the program materials for the upcoming event and choose to either save it to your computer, tablet, or smartphone, or print out any or all of the program materials. Only the registrant signed up for the course may access the program materials, and materials may not be forwarded to any other individual. Paper materials will not be available at the event. Although the use of laptops is not supported at FAE events, please feel free to download the material onto your tablet or e-reader and bring it with you. Please be aware that, for safety reasons, FAE cannot provide power strips or extension cords to access any electrical supply for laptops or other devices.

In order to receive course materials prior to an event, we must have your current e-mail information on file. Please call customer service at 800-537-3635 or visit your member profile to update this information. See FAE registration rules for more details.
