POP 2012 PASS Administrative & Registration Guidelines

POP 2012 usage is limited to registration at Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) seminars and conferences being presented between January 1, 2012, and December, 31, 2012, only. Since POP 2012 expires December 31, 2012, all registrations must be received and processed by December 17, 2012.

1. Prices for the Individual POP 2012 Pass (NYSSCPA Members ONLY) or Firm/Company POP 2012 Pass are:

Early-Bird Special*
Through January 19, 2012
Price You Pay Beginning January 20, 2012
Individual Pass (NYSSCPA Members ONLY)
$1,695
$1,795
Firm/Company Pass
$2,995
$3,095

*NOTE: To qualify for special Early-Bird price savings, purchase of POP Pass must be completed by 5:00 p.m. (EST) on January 19, 2012.

2. Purchases of an  NYSSCPA Members-Only Individual POP 2012 Pass or Firm/Company POP 2012 Pass will be e-mailed a POP 2012 Pass ID number valid for up to 10 uses. Participants must reference this number to complete each registration. You may register for courses by phone, mail, fax, or online using your POP 2012 Pass ID.

3. Each POP 2012 Pass number is good for one registration for one eight-hour, full-day FAE program or two (2) four-hour programs held on the same day at the same location. (A two-day program requires two coupon numbers; a three-day program requires three coupon numbers.) There will be a $100 surcharge for the Investment Companies Conference, Hedge Funds and Alternative Investments Conference, Partnership Taxation Conference, and Exempt Organizations Conference.

4. The POP 2012 Pass numbers are owned by the paying entity. If a company or organization pays for an NYSSCPA Members-Only Individual POP 2012 Pass on behalf of a staff member who subsequently leaves the company, the remaining POP 2012 Pass numbers may be transferred to one member of the firm without penalty; however, a maximum of 24 CPE credit hours will be permitted for the second Pass holder.

5. All sales are final; the entire fee is nonrefundable.

6. Early registration is required for seminars and conferences. POP 2012 Pass registrations will not be accepted by FAE less than 14 days in advance of the program. POP 2012 walk-ins will not be permitted.

7. NYSSCPA Members-Only Individual POP 2012 Pass or Firm/Company POP 2012 Pass holder registrants who are “no shows” for an event will be billed $50. This amount must be paid before a registrant or a member of the company can attend another seminar or conference. All established late cancellation/transfer fees remain as they are for non-POP 2012 Pass holders. A list of fees is available on the NYSSCPA website.

8. All Individual POP 2012 Pass holders must bring a valid photo ID for admission to attend the CPE event.

9. Subscriptions to the POP 2012 Program do not entitle Pass holders to course materials without attending programs for which they are registered.

10. Pass holders leaving before 2:30 p.m. will be charged an additional $75 to cover the program cost. This amount must be paid before a registrant or a member of the company can attend another seminar or conference.

11. 2012 POP Passes are not valid for any FAE technical session, 3-hour breakfast conference, chapter events, or any on-demand self-study webcasts.

12. All terms and conditions for POP 2012 Pass registrations apply to webcast registrations. This includes, but is not limited to, the early registration requirement—registrations must be received by FAE 14 days prior to the event. POP 2012 Pass registrations for webcast participation must be submitted via phone to NYSSCPA Member Services at 800-537-3635. POP 2012 Pass registrants attending via webcast will receive course information approximately one week prior to the event webcast, as course registrations are delivered to the web vendor in a single batch. All registration inquiries should be directed to NYSSCPA Member Services at 800-537-3635.

Confirmations

A confirmation will be e-mailed to you confirming your seminar or conference registration. This e-mail is required for admission, so bring it with you when you attend the course. Please allow 14 days to receive your confirmation. Individuals who do not receive a confirmation e-mail before a course must call FAE Registration to confirm registration status.

Cancellations/Refunds

1. If you wish to cancel your registration, you must provide written notice of your cancellation either by fax to 866-495-1354 or an e-mail sent to registration@nysscpa.org

2. All cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the program date will not incur a penalty fee.

3. Cancellations made less than 14 days before an event will result in the forfeiture of the entire registration fee.

4. All sales are final; the entire fee is nonrefundable.

5. FAE allows a registrant to transfer to another program or substitute another person without a penalty more than 14 days prior to the program date. Transfers and substitutions requested less than 14 days will be charged a $50 processing fee.

6. FAE makes no guarantee that a given event will be presented or regarding notification of such cancellation. If you register for a FAE event, you understand and agree not to hold FAE or the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants liable for damages of any kind, whether actual, special, indirect, incidental, or consequential, caused by such cancellations or failures to notify registrants of cancellations.

Transfers

1. A registrant may transfer his or her registration to another program or substitute another person without a penalty, only if the event that is being transferred FROM is more than 14 days from the date of the transfer. Transfers and substitutions requested less than 14 days before the event will be charged a $50 processing fee.

2. Once a transfer or substitution is processed, any subsequent substitution or transfer is subject to a $50 processing fee.

3. No transfers will be made on or after the course date.

Walk-ins

POP 2012 walk-ins will not be permitted.
