Customer Service Representative
Communications
The News Editor writes for, edits and oversees production of the organization's news website as well as a complementary print publication, published monthly. This position is also responsible for contributing to the organization’s blog, social media platforms, weekly e-newsletter and key communications projects. The News Editor manages a staff of two people and reports to the Communications Director. This position is ideal for a former newspaper editor looking to establish a career in nonprofit communications.
The News Editor will:
- Edit, write for and manage the organization's online news site and monthly newspaper.
- Write op-ed pieces for organization leaders.
- Shoot and edit video and photographs. Oversee photo selection and cutline writing.
- Supervise the Staff Writer and Editorial Assistant and work closely with other Communications Department staff members.
- Balance print and online coverage to best provide news and information to the organization's members and other targeted audiences.
- Play an integral role in implementing and developing new social media, online and print projects and initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- A degree in journalism, English, communications or a related field.
- Prior journalism experience a must; newspaper experience preferred.
- At least one year of editing experience, again, newspaper experience preferred.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Strong project management capabilities, including adherence to deadlines.
- Ability to interact well with different types of people and work well independently as well as on team projects.
- Familiarity with the AP Stylebook.
- Familiarity with a CMS.
- Knowledge of photography.
- Knowledge of popular social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Background in business reporting a plus.

Member Relations
Customer Service Representative
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality customer service to members of the Society.
Duties:
- Answer phone calls and other correspondence relating to member and subscriber accounts, society programs, policies, and benefits, and assist as needed.
- Process membership cash receipts for membership renewals and new member billing.
- Enter and keep up to date all subscriber records and firm information.
- Process registrations, cancellations, transfers and refunds as it pertains to FAE and Society events.
- Develop understanding of the Society's policies and procedures in order to assist members effectively.
Requirements
- High school degree
- At least 2 years work experience in a customer service environment.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Must have database experience with good computer skills.
