Big Four firm PricewaterhouseCoopers is heading to the zoo, not to feed the goats but to figure out what processes broke down that allowed a worker to enter a Sumatran tiger enclosure and fall victim to a fatal attack by the animal, according to the
New Zealand Herald. Hired by the Hamilton City Council to determine what led up to the accident, the CPA firm will perform a thorough review of the zoo's operations and procedures. While such a review for a typical business client might include things like evaluating cash flow management or tax strategy, PwC instead will be looking at animal enclosures, staffing structures, operating procedures, health and safety, and risk management, said the Herald. It will then make recommendations to ensure that sure what happened never happens again.
