NYSSCPA Member Beth van Bladel Appointed to Private Company Council

The Financial Accounting Foundation announced that NYSSCPA Northeast Chapter member Beth van Bladel has been appointed to the Private Company Council, which advises the Financial Accounting Standards Board on private company matters and proposes modifications and exceptions to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for private company stakeholders.

Van Bladel, a former member of the NYSSCPA's board of directors, has long been a leader in the Society's efforts to advocate for members in industry, being the founder and chair of the Northeast Chapter CFO Committee, and the winner of the 2013 Outstanding CPA in Industry Award. Van Bladel, the director of CFO for Hire LLC, will serve a three-year term on the council of which she will assist the FASB in understanding the needs of private companies.
