The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) announced that it will be keeping its chair, James Doty, until a replacement is appointed, though his term technically ended in 2015, according to Accounting Today. Doty was appointed to his position in 2011, becoming the board's second chair since it was formed through the Sarbanes Oxley Act.

Doty's is not the only seat people are looking to replace. Two other board members, Jeanette Franzel and Lewis Ferguson, have come to the end of their terms as well, while another the term of board member, Steven Harris, is set to expire this October. Meanwhile, former board member Jay Hanson resigned suddenly and unexpectedly in December and has still not been replaced.

Would you or someone you know be a good fit for the PCAOB?Interested individuals should send a cover letter discussing their qualifications and a current resume or curriculum vitae to Board-recommendations@sec.gov by Sept. 1, 2017.
