Over the years, George Washington University has tracked how much Americans know about basic finance by asking three simple questions that intelligent readers such as yourself would find trivially easy.

The questions, reported by MarketWatch, can be found here.

Easy, right? Apparently only 44 percent of college educated Americans, however, can get all three right. Of people with only some college education, just 31 percent ace the test. While this might hold distressing implications for people in this country, it also implies that there, at least for the foreseeable future, there will always be a need for trusted professionals like CPAs to help them out.
