How to Start Your Morning for a Productive Day

Waking UpA lot of us don’t put a lot of thought into what we do when we first wake up. It is admittedly difficult to think about much of anything before that first dose of caffeine, but how you begin your morning can affect the productivity of your entire day. Here are a couple of tips from Entrepreneur on how to start your morning so you can ace the rest of the day:

Skip your email. There are benefits to not checking your email for an hour after waking up – when you do so, you’re immediately setting yourself up for a day of being reactive to other peoples’ wants and needs over yours. Instead, use that hour to work out, meditate, or read.

Eat breakfast. Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and eating a regular, healthy breakfast alongside your morning joe will get you energized for the day, and moreover, keep you from crashing after lunch.
