June 29, the NYSSCPA Nassau Chapter held its annual golf outing, where CPAs from all over the area showed off their skills in a friendly competition among peers. The 5k race benefited Island Harvest, a food pantry for the poor. | Young CPA Committee The Nassau Chapter is looking for energetic, young CPAs, newly licensed CPAs and CPA candidates (under 40 years of age) who live and/or work in Nassau County to join the chapter's Young CPA Committee. We have sent letters to carry over forty high schools offering to make presentations to students to encourage them to seek careers as CPAs. The NYSSCPA has provided a fifteen-minute video produced by the AICPA, which depicts some of the different careers in public accounting.
