Member Benefits Committee

Member Benefits Committee
Committee Action Plan (CAP)

Who We Are

The Member Benefits Committee oversees the Society's member benefits, including membership insurance programs, with the exception of the Professional Liability Insurance program. The committee is charged with identifying and evaluating membership benefits which will meet the needs of our members.

What We Do

The following are some of the responsibilities of the Committee:

  • To evaluate the performance of vendors and benefit programs offered under affinity arrangements within the committee's purview.
  • To keep abreast of marketplace issues affecting the Society's member affinity programs.
  • To evaluate the competitive marketplace for the Society's member affinity programs.
  • To report at least annually to the Executive Committee or Board of Directors on the state of the programs and to make recommendations for new programs.
  • To work with Society staff to further the goals of the Member Benefits Program.
  • To meet the needs of our members as to specific affinity programs deemed appropriate.

Who Should Join

Participation is open to all members of the Society. Members with experience in, or knowledge of, the insurance industry and other member benefits programs are especially encouraged to join.

Benefits of Committee Membership

The following are among the benefits of membership on the Committee:

  • The ability to network with other members with an interest in insurance and membership benefits.
  • The opportunity to help Society members obtain comprehensive insurance at competitive rates as well as other benefits.
