The Real Estate Committee Shall:

1. Conduct the affairs of the committee pursuant to the direction of the Industry Oversight Committee.

2. Maintain the following consulting service by responding to inquiries not requiring research:

a) Condos and Co-ops
b) Technical Issues
c) Audit Issues

3. Prepare and review articles on subjects related to the real estate industry. A formal subcommittee will be prepared.

4. Develop formal educational programs for the Foundation for Accounting and Education. A technical subcommittee has been formed.

5. Develop the program for the annual real estate conference. A subcommittee has been formed to address issues relative to the accounting profession.

6. Prepare, review and respond to articles and exposure drafts that cover matter related to the real estate industry. Positions will be submitted to the Board of Directors for review.

7. Initiate the identification of emerging professional issues and submit comments thereon to the Board of Directors.

8. Develop and maintain liaison between Society and industry, government and other related organizations, which affect committee activities.
