Media and Publishing Committee

Development and presentation of the Publishing Industry Conference bi-annually.

Serve as a technical resource for publishing-related topics and issues for both NYSSCPA members as well as other interested parties.

The Committee’s membership includes a mixed representation of Big Four auditors, smaller firm auditors and corporate financial management. Membership is approximately 25 people.

The Committee meets approximately seven times each year with the central focus being the bi-annual Publishing Industry Conference. For most of these meetings, the Committee also discusses technical and other topics of interest to the members as well as current developments in the industry.

The Committee is represented by professionals from magazines, book and newspaper publishers and auditors with expertise in all three industries. We also have moved into the areas of multimedia and new media.
